For WiFi Issues
Observe if other connected devices to your WiFi are affected
-
- If your recently upgraded Mac is the only device that encounters this issue, proceed to the next step.
- If all of your device is affected, try to reboot your WiFi router. Contact your Internet Service Provider if the issue will still persist after the reboot.
Restart your computer and your router
-
Restart your computer first, then your WiFi router. Make sure to unplug the router and wait for a couple of minutes before you turn it back ON.
Turn OFF VPN Connections
-
Some VPN applications can also affect your network speed.
Remove them from your Applications folder to turn them OFF.
Check Proxy Settings on your Safari
-
You may unknowingly set up a Proxy Server before.
This proxy server can slow down your Internet connection as it creates more hops before you can reach the site you wanted to visit.
- Go to Apple menu > System Preferences > Network.
- Select the WiFi network you are currently using.
- Click Advanced, then click Proxies.
- Uncheck all items listed in the Proxies tab.
For Bluetooth Issues
Turn ON/OFF the Bluetooth or forget all devices you connected using Bluetooth and reconnect.
