How to turn off Data Theft Prevention on Windows

Stop Data Theft Prevention from running on your Windows computer temporarily without disabling your Trend Micro program.

NOTE: Doing this, however, will make your saved sensitive information, such as credit card numbers or passwords on websites, vulnerable to hackers.

1. Open Trend Micro, then click Privacy.

   

2. Click Configure beside Data Theft Prevention.

   

3. If you see an Introduction page, click OK.

   

4. Click the switch to turn OFF Data Theft Prevention.

   

5. Click OK to save the changes.
