While running a scan using your Trend Micro Security, your Windows computer suddenly encountered a Blue Screen of Death error.
Why did this happen?
Your Windows operating system may be broken or some components are not working properly.
How do I fix this?
Follow the steps below:
- Close all running apps and programs.
- Restart your Trend Micro app:
- Press the Windows ⊞ + R keys on your keyboard to open the Run window.
- In the Open field, type supporttool.exe, then click OK.
- Click Yes when the User Account Control window appears. The Trend Micro Diagnostic Toolkit will open.
- Click the (C) Uninstall tab.
- Click Delete Now under Temporary Files, Security Updates, and Proxy Files.
- Click 5. Stop all components.
- Wait for 10–30 seconds, or until the Trend Micro icon disappears from the taskbar notification area.
- Click Start all components to turn the program back on.
- Monitor to see if the error message appears again.
