You may see the "Your browser is managed by your organization" message when opening your browser.

Why am I seeing this message?

This message appears in your browsers including your browsers is managed by your work or school organization. If you see this on your personal device, it could be due to malicious software or browser extension.

How do I fix this?

Don't make changes if using an organization's system. If you're using a device provided by your organization, refrain from making any changes. If you want to remove the message on your personal computer, do the following:

1. Uninstall unneccessary apps.

   Remove the toolbar manually through the Control Panel:

   1. Click the Start , then go to Settings > Apps > Apps & Features. You can also access it via the shortcut button below:

   2. Look for the programs that you are not using anymore, then click Uninstall.
2. Remove malicious browser extensions:

   Remove unwanted extensions in Microsoft Edge

   1. Open Microsoft Edge.
   2. At the top right corner, click Settings and more , then choose Extensions.
   3. Click the Remove button on to the extension you want to remove.
   4. Click Remove again to confirm.

   Remove unwanted extensions in Google Chrome

   1. Open Google Chrome.
   2. On the upper right corner, click the Menu button ⋮, then go to More Tools > Extensions.
   3. Click the Remove button on to the toolbar you want to remove.
   4. A warning window will appear. Click Remove to proceed.
3. Reset web browser settings to remove alterations the malicious program did on your web browsers.
4. Delete web browser cache and cookies to get rid of remaining files the adware saved on your computer.
