In this article, you'll know how you can control the App Notifications on your Android or iOS device. App notifications provide you with the ability to customize and control the permissions granted to apps. You can select and adjust these notifications according to your preferences each time you use an app.
Android Settings
NOTE: Settings may vary by phone. For more assistance, contact your device manufacturer.
- Go to Settings app.
- Tap Notifications, then select App Settings.
- To check all listed Apps in your phone, tap All apps.
- Tap the specific app.
- Enable the app's notifications on or off.
You have the option to disable notifcations entirely for a listed app or to select from a specific categories.
iOS Settings
- Go to Settings App, then tap Notifications.
- Select your preferred notification display settings for the Lock Screen:
- View just the number of notifications: Tap Count.
- View the notifications grouped into stacks by app: Tap Stack.
- View notifications in a list: Tap List.
When notifications arrive, you can change the layout by pinching the notifications on the Lock Screen.
- Tap an app below Notification Style.
- Tap Allow Notifications on or off.
If you enable Allow Notifications, select when you want to receive them—either immediately or in the scheduled notification summary—and toggle Time-Sensitive Notifications on or off.
