An issue has been identified where Trend Micro Security cannot be installed on computers with Intel® Core™ Ultra Series 3 processors.
During installation, you might see error codes like #1603, 3003, or 0xe0120023. Don’t worry— we have guidance to help you understand it.
Why This Happens
This installation problem happens when the Intel® Total Storage Encryption feature is installed and turned on. This security feature can sometimes block Trend Micro Security from installing correctly.
How to Check if Intel® Total Storage Encryption is Active
- Right-click the Start button and choose Device Manager.
- In Device Manager, expand the System Devices section.
- Look for Intel® Total Storage Encryption in the list.
- If it’s there, it means the feature is active and may be causing the installation issue.
What You Can Do
Currently, Trend Micro is working with Microsoft to resolve this problem. We will provide updates as soon as a solution becomes available.
In the meantime:
- Check the list of eligible Intel® Core™ Ultra Series 3 processors on the official Intel website to see if your device is affected.
