Eject your flash drives before unplugging them on your computer to keep them from getting corrupted.

  1. Click on the Safely Remove Hardware icon in the taskbar notification area.

  2. Click the USB device you want to remove.

  3. After seeing a Safe To Remove Hardware notification, you can now unplug your USB drive.
