Error code 1618, 1001, 0xe0000000 on Trend Micro for Windows

You see this error message while uninstalling your Trend Micro program on Windows:

"Uninstallation Incomplete. Error code: #1618, 1001, 0xe0000000"

Why did this happen?

You tried to remove the program while another software is currently installing or uninstalling.

What should I do next?

Stop the Windows Installer Service:

1. Log onto your computer using an account with administrator privileges.
2. Click the Start , type cmd, right-click Command Prompt, then choose Run as administrator.
3. Type these commands, then press ENTER after each entry:
   • msiexec /unreg
   • msiexec /regserver
4. Restart your computer.
5. Try to uninstall it again.
