Renewing your Trend Micro program means extending your subscription for 12 months or 24 months depending on the option you chose. This retains your existing serial number.

Note: You don't need to reinstall Trend Micro after renewing. Just check and update your Trend Micro apps to stay current.

What happens when I buy a new subscription?

Receiving a new Serial Number after purchasing a subscription for renewal implies that you have acquired a new subscription instead. This action does not automatically extend the expiration date of your previous Serial Number. First, check which devices your previous subscription is protecting with the old Serial Number. If you receive a new serial number for the same version of the Trend Micro subscription, simply update the serial number in your Trend Micro apps:

If you bought a different subscription than your current one, you'll need to uninstall your current Trend Micro app and install a new one.
