Why can't I open Trend Micro?
This issue may occur due to conflicts with new software installations or a recent Windows update affecting Trend Micro components.
How can I fix this problem?
Restart the Trend Micro program using the following steps:
- Press the Windows ⊞ and R keys on your keyboard simultaneously to open the "Run" window.
- Type supporttool.exe in the 'Open' field, then click OK.
- Click Yes when the "User Account Control" window appears.
- The "Trend Micro Diagnostic Toolkit" will open. Navigate to the (C) Uninstall tab.
- Click 5. Stop all components. Wait for the Trend Micro icon in the taskbar notification area to disappear (about 10-30 seconds).
- Then click 4. Start all components to restart them.
- Try opening the Trend Micro program again.
