Trend Micro Security detects valid files and programs as malicious.


Restoring a detected file poses a potential security risk. Do not restore a detected file unless you are sure that the file is clean and the detection was a false positive.

Restore quarantined or removed files
  1. Open the main console of your Trend Micro Security program:
    • Double-click the Trend Micro icon on your desktop.
    • Double-click the Trend Micro icon on your system tray (near the clock).
  2. Click Security Report.

  3. Click Security Threats.

  4. Click the file you wish to restore.
  5. Click Restore.


  6. Read the warning message, then click Yes.

  7. Click OK.
