You may want to temporarily turn off the Trend Micro ID Protection browser extension if:

  • A website isn’t loading or functioning properly while the extension is active.
  • You’re troubleshooting browser slowdowns, freezing, or login issues.
  • You want to check how a page behaves without any extensions running.
  • You’re updating or reinstalling the ID Protection app or browser extension.

Turning off the extension only disables its functions temporarily — your saved passwords and data remain safe in your Vault.

Once you’re done troubleshooting or testing, make sure to turn the extension back on to continue protecting your passwords and automatically fill your logins.
