How to set up Trend Micro Home Network Security on mesh

Know how you can connect Trend Micro Home Network Security in a mesh network environment.

Connect to a Mesh Network

Connect the Station to the Wi-Fi router that the majority of your devices use. The Station should not be connected to network equipment, such as switches, hubs, extenders, or repeaters.

1. Connect the Trend Micro Home Network Security Station to the main router.
2. Install the Trend Micro Home Network Security app on your device.
3. Pair Trend Micro Home Network Security app with the Station.
4. Connect your routers in a mesh network environment similar to the illustration above. You may contact your Internet service provider or IT administrator for assistance.
   • Connecting the Trend Mico Home Network Security Station farther (see Option 2 and 3 on above illustration) from the main router will result in a more significant performance drop.
   • There is no known limitation on Home Network Security (device recognition and other features) when connecting via a mesh network environment.
   • DHCP mode has a known issue in mesh networks. The main mesh router may work, but the sub-mesh router may not get DHCP information correctly.
