If you prefer to manage your renewals manually, you can turn off Auto‑Renew anytime. This guide walks you through the steps and explains what to expect along the way.

Before You Cancel

Here are the benefits of Auto‑Renew:

  • Continuous Service: Keeps your protection active without interruptions.
  • Less Hassle: Payments and renewals are handled automatically.
  • Better Security: Prevents your device from being vulnerable to threats due to an expired subscription.

But if you’d rather renew on your own, you can easily switch it off by following the steps below.

How to Cancel Auto‑Renew

Follow these quick steps from your Trend Micro Account:

  1. Sign in to your Trend Micro Account
Go to My Trend Micro Account and log in with your registered Trend Micro email and password.

  2. Click Manage Subscription
Under Licenses tab, find the subscription (Serial Number) you want to cancel auto-renewal for, then click Manage Subscription next to it.

    Manage Subscription Button

NOTE: If the Manage Subscription button isn’t working or won’t load, it may be because:
    • Your auto-renewal is already turned off
    • Your payment details are not yet fully updated in our system
    • Or your subscription was purchased through a partner (such as Best Buy or your ISP)
In these cases, the Manage Subscription button may not show options to update your credit card or cancel your subscription.

  3. Select Cancel Subscription
Click Cancel Subscription to begin the cancellation process. A pop‑up will appear explaining what happens when Auto‑Renew is turned off.

Let us know why you’re canceling, then click Submit.

  6. Confirm your Preferred Option
After submitting, select Stop Auto Renew if you choose to proceed, or Stay Subscribed if you change your mind.

📌 What You’ll See If Auto‑Renew Is Already Off

If Auto‑Renew is no longer active, you’ll only see a Renew Now button instead of Manage Subscription.
