How to add Trend Micro plug-ins and extensions on web browsers

Allow Trend Micro plug-ins and extensions to your web browsers so you can use the full features of the Trend Micro Toolbar.

1. Open Trend Micro, then click Settings .

   

2. Select Internet & E-mail Controls > Web Threats.

   

3. Put a check beside these options:

   

   • Block potentially dangerous websites
   • Display the Trend Micro Toolbar on supported web browsers
   • Prevent Internet Explorer, Firefox, and Chrome from running malicious scripts on infected websites
4. Click Apply, then click OK to save the changes.
5. Check if the Trend Micro Toolbar is enabled in your browser:
   Google Chrome

   1. Open Google Chrome.
   2. On the address bar, type chrome://extensions, then press ENTER.

      

   3. Make sure Trend Micro Toolbar is Enabled.

      

   Mozilla Firefox

   1. Open Mozilla Firefox.
   2. On the address bar, type about:addons, then press ENTER.

      

   3. Make sure Trend Micro Toolbar is Enabled.

      

   Microsoft Edge

   1. Open Microsoft Edge.
   2. On the address bar, type about:extensions, then press ENTER.
   3. Make sure Trend Micro Security is Enabled.

      

   Apple Safari

   1. Open Safari.
   2. Under the Safari menu, click Preferences.
   3. In the Preferences window, click the Extensions tab.
   4. Make sure Trend Micro plug-ins are Enabled.
