How Trend Micro AI App Protection works
AI App Protection blocks all untrusted programs from modifying or deleting protected files. If a program is blocked, you'll receive an alert. You can allow changes from trusted programs as needed.
AI App Protection works like Folder Shield to protect AI App from being modified by untrusted programs. The difference is Folder Shield's protected files and folders are set by users, but AI App Protection's protected files are already set in our pattern.
How to Turn On AI App Protection
- Open the Trend Micro Security application on your computer.
- Click on the Data tab in the menu.
- Find AI App Protection and click on Configure next to it.
- To turn on AI App Protection, move the slider to the RIGHT.
How to Add a Trusted Program
- In the AI App Protection window, click on the Trusted Program List link.
- Click the Add button.
- Click Browse to find the program you want to trust. (You can only add one program at a time.)
- Once you've selected the program, click Done to save your changes.
- If you need to remove a program from the trusted list, check the box next to the program and click Remove.
How to Turn Off AI App Protection
To turn off AI App Protection, move the slider to the LEFT. To turn it back on, simply move the slider to the RIGHT again.
