After purchasing Trend Micro Antivirus One, the main program window still says it is in its FREE version, not the FULL version.
Why did this happen?
- Apple was not able to sync your Apple Account to the application.
- The Apple ID that is used on the purchase is not the same as the one that is currently signed-in on your mac.
How do I fix this?
Check if you are using the same Apple Account you used in purchasing the app.
- Open the App Store.
- Click Store, then select View My Account. This will show what account is currently signed in.
- If you are using the same account, click the Restore link on the Trend Micro Antivirus One app.
If the solution above did not work, reinstall the Antivirus One app:
- Uninstall Antivirus One:
- Force Quit your Safari to stop running Antivirus One extensions on your browser.
NOTE: Save your work first or bookmark opened tabs before quitting the browser. - On the menu bar, click Antivirus One, then choose Quit.
- Open Finder. Go to Applications. Right-click Antivirus One, then choose Move to Trash.
- Delete other files or its remnants:
- Click Go on the menu bar, then choose Go to Folder.
- Type ~/Library/Containers, then click Go.
- Look for the folder com.trendmicro.DrSafety and move it to the Trash.
- Empty the Trash, then restart your Mac.
- Force Quit your Safari to stop running Antivirus One extensions on your browser.
- Double check if Antivirus One is completely removed.
Install Antivirus One from the App Store. Make sure you use the same Apple ID when downloading from the app store:
