You see this pop-up error message on your screen when you access webmail:
Why did this happen?
This pop-up appears because the Trend Micro Toolbar cannot retrieve the account information due to intermittent internet connection or webmail issues.
What should I do next?
- Make sure you have a stable internet connection and can access different websites.
- If you have opened multiple webmail tabs, close other tabs you are not using.
- Restart the Trend Micro Toolbar.
- Open the Trend Micro program, then click the gear icon to open the Settings.
- On the Settings window, click Web Threats, then uncheck the "Display the Trend Micro toolbar on supported web browsers" option.
- Click Yes, then tick the checkbox again to re-enable the toolbar settings.
- Click Apply, then OK.
The issue remains unresolved.
If the issue persists, reinstall the Trend Micro Toolbar.
For Google Chrome
- Open the Google Chrome app.
- Click the puzzle icon on the top right part of the browser, then select Remove from Chrome.
- Click Remove Extension.
- Install Trend Micro Toolbar for Google Chrome.
For Microsoft Edge
- Open the Edge browser app.
- Click the puzzle icon, then click the ⋯. Select Remove from Microsoft Edge.
- Select Remove Extension.
- Install Trend Micro Toolbar for Edge.
For Firefox
- Open the Firefox app.
- Click the puzzle icon or the ≡ on the top right of the screen, then select Add-ons and themes.
- Go to Extensions, then look for the Trend Micro Toolbar.
- Click ⋯, then select Remove.
- Install Trend Micro Toolbar for Firefox.
