If you bought a Trend Micro product online, you might notice there’s no activation code in the confirmation email. Here’s why and what you can do about it.
Why Is My Activation Code Missing?
The activation code isn't in the first email because Trend Micro sends two separate emails for your purchase.
🤔 What Are the Two Emails You Receive?
- Order Confirmation for Your Trend Micro Invoice: This email ONLY provides:
- Purchase date
- Total amount paid
- Billing information
💡 Tip: This is a plain confirmation and does not contain your activation code.
- Activate Your Subscription: This email includes your ACTIVATION CODE along with installation and activation instructions.
🤷♂️ How Can I Find the Email With My Activation Code?
Try these steps:
- Check All Email Folders: Look in your spam, junk, promotions, and other folders.
- Search Your Email: Use the search function to look for the keyword
Activate Your Subscription. - Contact Trend Micro Support: If you still can't find the activation code, contact Trend Micro Support.
Have the following information ready:- Billing name
- Email address used for the order
- Purchase date
- Invoice number

- All genuine Trend Micro emails come from addresses that end in
.trendmicro.com. - Always check the full sender email address, not just the display name, because names can be easily faked.
- If anything looks suspicious, do not click links or open attachments.
Will I Get a New Activation Code When I Renew My Subscription?
If you renewed your subscription, you may not get a new code. Instead, your existing code is automatically extended.
- Open your Trend Micro program and check if the expiration date has been updated.
- If the expiration date is extended, no further action is required
- If it hasn’t updated after renewal, sign out and sign back in to your Trend Micro Account.
