Keeping your Trend Micro account details up to date lets you receive important notifications and enhance your account security.

This guide will walk you through the steps to update your account information, including changing your email address, updating your password, enabling two-factor authentication, and managing your email subscriptions.

What Information Can You Update?

You will see three sections in your account settings:

  • Account Information
  • Two-factor Authentication
  • Email Subscription

How to Access These Sections

  1. Open your web browser on your computer or mobile device.
  2. Visit the official My Trend Micro Account portal here: https://account.trendmicro.com/. This is your go-to place for any information related to your Trend Micro subscriptions. Choose Sign In.
  3. Log in using your email address and password, then select Next.
  4. On a mobile device, tap the menu icon (usually three lines or dots) and select My Profile.
    On a computer, click on your name at the top right corner and choose My Profile from the dropdown menu.

How to Update Your Account Information

Click the Account Information section, then choose what credentials you need to update:

  • Email Address: Click Change Email to update your email address. You will need to enter your Trend Micro account password to proceed.
  • Password: Click Change Password. Enter your current password, then your new password, and confirm the new password.
  • Personal Information: Click the Edit Profile button to:
    • Change your User Type (Personal or Company)
    • Add your First and Last Name
    • Update your phone number
    • Change your Location

How to Set Up Two-Factor Authentication

Click the Two-factor Authentication section to add extra security to your account. You can choose from several options:

  • Text Message (SMS):
    1. Click Set Up.
    2. Enter your phone number and click Next.
    3. Enter the Confirmation Code you receive.
  • Authentication App:
    1. Click Set Up.
    2. If you already have an authentication app, click Yes. If not, click Not Yet to see options for downloading Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator, or Authy. Click Next.
    3. Scan the QR code with your app and click Next.
    4. Enter the Confirmation Code from your app and click Next.
  • Email Address:
    1. Click Set Up.
    2. Enter your email address and click Next.
    3. Enter the Confirmation Code you receive.

How to Manage Your Email Subscriptions

Click the Email Subscription section, then you can check the box for these notifications:

  • Trend Micro Newsletter: Stay informed about new product information, tips, and advisories from Trend Micro to help you stay protected.
  • Special Offers, Promotions, and Surveys: Receive updates about product promotions and help Trend Micro improve their services.

Choose Save to apply the changes.
