How to Install Trend Micro Security for Chromebook

Protect your Chromebook from the latest security threats by installing and activating Trend Micro Security. Follow these steps to get started.

What Do I Need to Start?

Before you begin, ensure you have:

• A stable Internet connection.
• Trend Micro Security (Windows or Mac) or Trend Micro Mobile Security (Android or iOS) installed on another device.

Already Have Trend Micro on Other Devices?

If you have Trend Micro Security installed on other devices, follow these steps:

1. On your Chromebook, go to your Trend Micro Account and sign in.
2. Go to the Download tab, then click the Download button for Maximum Security.
3. When the pop-up appears, click Download to this device. If the download does not start, use this download link below:

4. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation.
5. Open Trend Micro Security by clicking the Trend Micro icon in the top right corner of your browser. If you can't see it, enable the extension in your browser settings.
6. Sign in with your Trend Micro account to activate your protection. Enter your Activation Code if prompted (ignore this step if not asked).

Haven't Installed Trend Micro on Other Devices?

If you haven't installed Trend Micro Security on any device before your Chromebook, do the following:

On Your Android or Apple Mobile Device

1. Open a web browser and visit Trend Micro Account.
2. Log in with your existing credentials.
3. Tap the Menu icon, then choose Download.
4. Press the Download button under Maximum Security.
5. Follow the link to the Google Play Store or Apple App Store.
6. Select Get or Install to download the Mobile Security app.
7. Open the app after installation, then sign in with your Trend Micro account to activate protection.
8. After installing the app, proceed to install Trend Micro on your Chromebook.

On Your Desktop or Laptop with Windows or Mac

1. Open a web browser and go to Trend Micro Account.
2. Sign in using your email address and password.
3. Click the Download tab located near "Licenses", "Profile", and "Resources".
4. Select the program or app you want to download and click Download to this Device.
5. Follow the prompts to complete the installation.
6. After installing the app, proceed to install install Trend Micro on your Chromebook.
