"An error occured during the transfer of your activation information.
Error code 0x96000526"
What Happened?
- The retail store has not activated the activation code yet.
- The Trend Micro server rejects the activation because the code does not match the installer.
How To Fix the Error
First, check the format of your activation code. Then, download the correct installer based on where you purchased the program.
Retail and Online Store Purchases
- If it starts with an X, download the Maximum Security installer (Download Here).
- If it starts with a P, download the Internet Security installer (Download Here).
- If it starts with an A, download the Antivirus+ Security installer (Download Here).
- If it starts with an M, download the Antivirus for Mac installer (Download Here).
Best Buy Purchases
- If it starts with TO or TA, download the Internet Security installer for Best Buy (Download Here).
- If it starts with TC, download the Antivirus for Mac installer for Best Buy (Download Here).
Internet Service Provider Purchases
- If it starts with TXEF, download the Maximum Security installer for ISP (Download Here).
- If it starts with TOEF, download the Internet Security installer for ISP (Download Here).
- If it starts with TAEF, download the Antivirus+ Security installer for ISP (Download Here).
