What Happened?
- The retail store has not yet activated the activation code on their end.
- The Trend Micro server rejects the communication because the activation code does not match the installer.
How To Fix
Check the activation code format, then download the correct installer where you bought the program.

- If it starts with an X, download the Maximum Security installer.
- If it starts with a P, download the Internet Security installer.
- If it starts with an A, download the Antivirus+ Security installer.
- If it starts with a M, download the Antivirus for Mac installer.
Best Buy Purchases
- If it starts with a TO or TA, download the Internet Security installer for Best Buy.
- If it starts with a TC, download the Antivirus for Mac installer for Best Buy.
Availed from an Internet Service Provider
- If it starts with an TXEF, download Maximum Security installer for ISP.
- If it starts with TOEF, download Internet Security installer for ISP.
- If it starts with TAEF, download the Antivirus+ Security installer for ISP.
