What is Router Access Protection?
Router Access Protection automatically blocks access when a guest tries to access your router admin console.
How Router Access Protection works
- If a guest needs access, they need to click the Request Access link. Trend Micro will notify you in your Home Network Security app.
- You may decide to allow access or not.
- The block or allow notification will show in the Home Network Security Timeline.
How to turn ON Router Access Protection in Trend Micro Home Network Security
- On your mobile device, open the Home Network Security app.
- Tap the Menu icon you see on the upper left, then tap Settings.
- Under NETWORK AND SECURITY, tap Early Access Program.
- Tap the switch beside Router Access Protection to turn it ON .
Note: Router Access Protection feature is disabled when Home Network Security is on DHCP mode.
To turn OFF Router Access Protection, just tap the switch again.
Allow a blocked device to access Router Settings
- On your mobile device, open the Home Network Security app.
- Tap the Menu icon you see on the upper left, then tap Timeline.
- Under Timeline, tap Router Access.
- Tap the Router Access Blocked notification.
- Allow a device to configure the router settings from 1 hour up to 3 hours maximum.
