Follow these steps to activate your Trend Micro subscription if you purchased it from a retail store.

For First Time Users

  1. Go to the Activation Portal and click the Get Started button.
  2. Create a Trend Micro Account: type in your email and create a secure password. Then, select Next.
  3. Enter the Activation Code found on the box or receipt.
  4. Read and Agree to the License Agreement.
  5. Enter your credit card information for automatic renewal, so you won't need to manually purchase a new subscription after it expires.
  6. Follow the next prompts to ensure your payment information is correct.

For Users with an Existing Account

  1. Go to the Activation Portal and click the Get Started button.
  2. Click Sign In and enter your existing Trend Micro account credentials.
  3. Enter the Activation Code found on the box or receipt.
  4. Read and Agree to the License Agreement.
  5. Confirm your credit card information for automatic renewal. If your card information has changed, update it accordingly.
  6. Follow the next prompts to ensure your payment information and subscription details are correct.

Why Do I Need to Enter My Card Information?

Here’s why it’s necessary:

  • Continuous Protection: Your subscription will automatically renew before it expires, ensuring you are always protected without interruption.
  • Convenience: Automatic renewal means you won't have to manually renew your subscription each time it expires, saving you time and effort.
  • Security: Your payment information is securely stored and managed according to industry standards to protect your data.

By providing your card information, you ensure that your device remains protected against the latest threats without any gaps in coverage.

NOTE: This step can't be skipped — you need to set up Auto Renewal to complete the activation process. Don't worry — you will only be charged on the day your subscription expires, and you can cancel Auto Renewal at any time.
