Learn how to use Extensions and Widgets in Mobile Security for your iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch to easily access the data usage information and scan websites for security.


Add/Remove Scan Website Extension in Safari

  1. Open Safari web browser, and navigate to any URL, such as, www.trendmicro.com.
  2. Tap icon, then tap (More) icon, and then slide the grey circle before Scan Website to the right to add this icon to the list; or slide the grey circle to the left to remove the Scan Website icon from the list.

Scan webpages in Safari Web Browser

  1. Open Safari web browser, and navigate to any URL, such as, www.trendmicro.com.
  2. Tap icon, and then tap Scan Website.

Add/Remove Mobile Security Widgets

  1. Swipe down from the top of the screen to view to the Notification Center, and tap on Today at the top of the screen.
  2. Scroll to the bottom of the screen, and tap Edit.
  3. Tap the icon before Data Usage and SafeSurfing to include them to the Today list in Notification Center. To remove, tap the (--) icon next to the widget you want to remove, and tap Remove.
  4. Tap Done.

Scan URLs before visiting

  1. Copy a URL that you want to check for safety.
  2. Swipe down from the top of the screen to view the Notification Center, and tap on Today at the top of the screen.
  3. Under SafeSurfing section, check the safety information displayed about the webpage.

Use Widgets to keep track of Data Usage

  1. Swipe down from the top of the screen to view the Notification Center, and tap on Today at the top of the screen.
  2. Under Data Usage section, view the information displayed about your data usage.
