Secure QR Code Scanner checks if the QR codes you will scan on your iOS/iPadOS device is safe to visit (websites) or install (apps).
Turn ON Camera Permission for Secure QR Code Scanner
- Tap the Mobile Security app.
- Tap the Secure QR Code Scanner icon in the upper right-hand corner of the app Main Menu.
- This requires access to your camera. Tap Turn on camera.
- It will request camera access. Select Open Settings.
- On the right pane, switch ON Camera under ALLOW MOBILE SECURITY TO ACCESS.
Check if a website or app is safe via QR code
- Tap the Mobile Security app.
- Tap the Secure QR Code Scanner icon in the upper right-hand corner of the app Main Menu.
- Place the QR Code within the frame to scan. The code is scanned securely.
- If the QR Code is safe, it will let you install the app or visit the website.
- If the QR Code is dangerous, Mobile Security will block you from going to the website or installing the app.
