Activate and register your Trend Micro Security to get the best protection from the latest security threats on your Google Chrome.

I'm activating for the first time

  1. Go to Activation Portal.
  2. Click the Get Started button.
  3. Create a Trend Micro Account using your email address or phone number.
  4. Provide a secure password, then click Next.
  5. Type your First and Last Name to complete your profile, then click Next.
  6. Enter your activation code, then put a check beside I have read and agree to the Trend Micro License Agreement. Click Next to proceed.
  7. Open the Trend Micro Security extension on your Google Chrome, then sign in with the account you created.

I have a new activation key

  1. Go to the Activation Portal.
  2. Click Get Started button.
  3. Under Next button, "Already have an account?", click Sign In.
  4. Sign in with your email address or phone number, then click Next.
  5. Type your secure password, then click Next.
  6. Enter your activation code, then put a check beside I have read and agree to the Trend Micro License Agreement. Click Next to proceed.
  7. Open the Trend Micro Security extension on your Google Chrome to see if it is already activated with your new key.

I want to Add or Transfer Protection to Google Chromebook

Trend Micro Security is not standalone software for Chromebooks. Instead, you can add Trend Micro protection to your device by installing it as an extension on your Google Chrome browser. This will ensure protection while browsing the internet, block malicious websites and links, and safeguard your webmail accounts (Outlook, Yahoo Mail, Gmail)

  1. On your Chromebook, open your Google Chrome browser and go to the Trend Micro Account Portal.
  2. Sign in your Trend Micro account.
  3. Navigate to the Download tab.
  4. Find your product (Maximum Security, Internet Security, Antivirus+ Security) and click Download.
  5. When the pop-up message appears, click Download to this device. If the download does not proceed, ?Use this download link.
  6. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation
  7. Open Trend Micro Toolbar by clicking Trend Micro icon on the top right side on your brwoser.If you can't see it, your need to enable the toolbar in your browser.
  8. Sign-in using your Trend Micro account.
  9. Enter the Serial Number for Activation(ignore this step if not asked).
  10. Confirm the License Transfer.
  11. A confirmation message will appear for successful license Transfer.

I have a Maximum Security/Security Suite/Device Security License

Register your subscription first in your Mobile Security or Maximum Security programs before you can activate it on Google Chrome. After doing this, open the Trend Micro Security extension again to see if it already activated.

I got Trend Micro from my Internet Service Provider

Unfortunately, you cannot use this License Key to activate Trend Micro for Google Chrome.
