If you see messages like 'You have reached the maximum number of devices you can protect' or 'Too Many Installations', it means your Trend Micro subscription limit for devices is reached.
Why am I seeing this error?
This error appears when:
- You’ve exceeded the number of devices your plan allows.
- All device slots in your subscription are currently in use.
How can I fix this?
After experiencing the error message, follow these steps to transfer your protection to a new device:
- Log In:
Sign in to your Trend Micro Account using your credentials.
- Select a Device to Replace:
Choose the device you want to replace from the list of currently protected devices.
- Assign a New Device Name:
Enter a name for the new device (e.g., "Personal Laptop" or "Home Computer") and click Next.
- Transfer the Protection:
Follow the on-screen instructions and click Transfer Now to complete the process.
Managing Your Subscription
