How to set up Trend Micro Parental Controls on Android

Enable Trend Micro Parental Controls

1. Tap the Mobile Security App.
2. Scroll down, then select Parental Controls.
3. Enter your Trend Micro Account password, then tap Unlock.
4. Tap Use Fingerprint button to enable Fingerprint to unlock Parental Controls.
5. Enable App Lock.
   1. Tap the App Lock tab.
   2. Tap the switch beside App Lock to turn it ON.
   3. Tap OK to confirm.
6. Enable Website Filter.
   1. Tap the Website Filter tab.
   2. Tap the switch beside Website Filter to turn it ON.
   3. Tap Close to confirm.

Adjust Website Filter Level

1. Tap the Mobile Security App.
2. Scroll down, then select Parental Controls.
3. Enter your Trend Micro Account password, then tap Unlock.
4. Tap Website Filter.
5. Choose how Parental Controls filters websites:
   • Child - blocks all website categories: (Adult/Sexual, Communications or Media, Controversial, Shopping and Entertainment)
   • Pre-teen - blocks all Adult/Sexual content, but allows content to other types.
   • Teen - blocks content not suitable for teens.
   • Custom - lets you configure what website type you can block. You can also use this filter for your Senior family members.
6. Tap each website category to know the subcategory for each type.

   Refer to the table below for the website types Parental Controls blocks for each protection level:

Add website in Blocked List

The Blocked List in Parental Controls stores the website addresses that you want to block in addition to those already blocked by the level of protection you chose.

1. Tap the Mobile Security App.
2. Scroll down, then select Parental Controls.
3. Enter your Trend Micro Account password, then tap Unlock.
4. Tap Website Filter.
5. Select Blocked List.
6. Tap Add.
7. Enter the name and the website address.
8. Tap Save.
   • To update the website details, tap the name on the list to edit its details. Tap Save to confirm.
   • To delete a saved website, tap and hold the website name on the list, then tap the trash can icon you see on the upper left. Tap Delete to confirm.
   • To delete all saved websites, tap the trash can icon you see on the upper left. Tap Delete All, then tap OK to confirm.

Add website in Approved List

The Approved List in Parental Controls stores the website addresses that you do not want to block even when the level of protection that you chose would normally block them.

1. Tap the Mobile Security App.
2. Scroll down, then select Parental Controls.
3. Enter your Trend Micro Account password, then tap Unlock.
4. Tap Website Filter.
5. Select Approved List.
6. Tap Add.
7. Enter the name and the website address.
8. Tap Save.
   • To update the website details, tap the name on the list to edit its details. Tap Save to confirm.
   • To delete a saved website, tap and hold the website name on the list, then tap the trash can icon you see on the upper left. Tap Delete to confirm.
   • To delete all saved websites, tap the trash can icon you see on the upper left. Tap Delete All, then tap OK to confirm.

Choose how you can unlock Parental Controls

1. Tap the Mobile Security App.
2. Scroll down, then select Parental Controls.
3. Enter your Trend Micro Account password, then tap Unlock.
4. At the upper right corner, tap the Lock icon.
5. Select your preferred lock settings.
   • Trend Micro Account password - uses your Trend Micro account password to unlock Parental Controls.
   • Pattern - lets you draw a pattern to unlock Parental Controls.
   • PIN - lets you type a 4 digit code to unlock Parental Controls.
   • Unlock with Fingerprint - enables Fingerprint scan to unlock Parental Controls.
6. Set up your preferred lock settings.
