How to set up Trend Micro Guardian

Trend Micro Home Network Security can now extend protection to your child outside your home network with Trend Micro Guardian.

Set up and install Trend Micro Guardian

To start using this feature, you need to set up the Guardian app with Home Network Security.

Pair Parent Device with the Station

Before pairing, make sure that the Home Network Security app is installed and the Station is set up.

1. Connect your parent mobile device to the same WiFi network as your Station.
2. Open the Home Network Security app on your device.
3. Read the License Agreement, then tap Agree and Continue.
4. Make sure that the Home Network Security Station light is green, then tap Next.
5. Type your pairing code, then tap Next.
   If you have a Trend Micro Device Security subscription, type your serial number instead.
   A Connection Successful message should appear.

   If the app is unable to connect to the Station within one minute, use the QR code reader that will appear on your screen. Scan the Station Code found at the bottom part of the Station.

6. Wait for the Sign In page to appear, then sign in to your Trend Micro Account.

Set up Parent Device

1. Open the Home Network Security app on your device.
2. Tap the Menu icon you see on the upper left, then tap Devices.
3. Select the device where you want to set up Trend Micro Guardian.
4. Tap Trend Micro Guardian.

   

5. Tap Next.
6. Use the QR code to install the Trend Micro Guardian app and the Guardian Code to pair the device.

   

7. Follow the prompts to complete the setup.

Set up Child Device

1. On your child's device, scan the QR code found in your Home Network Security app using any QR reader.
   You can also open the Play Store (for Android) or App Store (for iOS), then search for "Trend Micro Guardian".
2. Install the app on the child's device.
3. After installing, open the Guardian app, then follow the prompts to pair the device with Home Network Security.
   A successful message will appear in your Home Network Security's timeline.
