Activate your Trend Micro Security extension, whether you're setting up for the first time or using a new activation key.

Activating for the First Time

  1. Go to the Activation Portal here: https://account.trendmicro.com/setup/landing.
  2. Click the Get Started button.
  3. Create a Trend Micro Account with your email or phone number.
  4. Set a secure password and click Next.
  5. Enter your first and last name to complete your profile, then click Next.
  6. Input your activation code, agree to the Terms, and click Next.
  7. Open the Trend Micro Security extension in Microsoft Edge and log in.

Using a New Activation Key

  1. Go to the Activation Portal here: https://account.trendmicro.com/setup/landing.
  2. Click Sign in to your Trend Micro Account below the 'Get Started' button.
  3. Log in with your email or phone number and password.
  4. Enter your new activation code, agree to the Terms, and click Next.
  5. Check the Trend Micro Security extension in Microsoft Edge to confirm activation.

Have a Maximum Security or Security Suite or Device Security License?

First, register your subscription in your Mobile Security or Maximum Security program. Then, check the Trend Micro extension in Microsoft Edge to confirm activation.

I don't have a spare device

If you're using Windows in S mode, you'll need to switch out of S mode to install and activate Trend Micro. Learn more about S mode and how to switch.

Received Trend Micro from Your ISP?

If you received Trend Micro through your internet service provider, unfortunately, that license key cannot be used to activate the extension on Microsoft Edge.
