This article explains how to transfer your Trend Micro protection from an old device to a new one. The steps may be slightly different depending on:
- Your subscription type (single‑device or multi‑device)
- The operating system of your new device (Windows, Mac, Android, or iOS)
📌 Before You Start
Before transferring your protection, make sure that:
- You can sign in to your Trend Micro Account
- You know whether your subscription supports one device or multiple devices
- Your old device is either still accessible or removed from your account
🔎 Choose Your Subscription Type
Select the option that best matches your subscription type:
If your subscription allows protection on more than one device (for example, 3 or 5 devices), here are the steps on how to transfer your protection:
- Remove Protection from the Old Device
- Sign in to your Trend Micro Account
- Go to Licenses tab
- Select Manage Device
- Locate the old device and click X to remove
- Confirm the removal
- Install Trend Micro on Your New Device
- Sign in to your Trend Micro Account
- Go to Licenses tab
- Look for your active subscription then select Manage Device +
- Select + Add Device
- Select the Download button under Download to This Device
- Run the installer and follow the on‑screen instructions
- Sign in to your Trend Micro Account
- Go to Licenses tab
- Look for your active subscription then select Manage Device +
- Select + Add Device
- Select the Download button under Download to This Device <
- Run the installer and follow the on‑screen instructions
- Open the Google Play Store.
- Search for Trend Micro Mobile Security app.
- Tap Install.
- Once installation is complete, tap Open.
- Agree to Privacy and Personal Data Collection Disclosure.
- Tap Accept and Continue.
- Tap Buy/Activate then select Sign in to your Trend Micro Account
- Open the App Store.
- Search for Trend Micro Mobile Security app.
- Tap Get and then Install to download the app.
- Once installation is complete, tap Open.
- Tap Allow to enable notifications, then tap Accept and Continue to agree to the terms.
- Tap Already Purchased, then sign in with your Trend Micro account to activate the subscription on the device.
✅ If the old device is lost or unavailable, you can still remove it from your account.
