How to Set Up ID Protection Vault on Windows Devices

Struggling with setting up your Password Vault on new Windows devices? Follow this simple guide to get started.

1. Get Your Mobile App or Client Key Ready: Make sure you have your Mobile App or Client Key You'll find your Client Key in the original setup confirmation, or you can use your Mobile App to scan a QR code for effortless setup.
2. Link Your Client Key with Your Mobile App
   1. Open the 'ID Protection' mobile app.
   2. Go to the 'Vault' section.
   3. Log in with your 'Trend Micro Account'.
   4. Type in your Client Key or scan the QR Code.
3. Set Up the Vault on Your Windows Device
   • On Web Browsers
     1. Launch the web browser on your Windows device.
     2. Visit the Trend Micro ID Protection site here: https://idprotect.trendmicro.com/.
     3. Click the key icon to open your Vault.
     4. Log in and enter the authentication code from your Mobile App.
   • On Trend Micro ID Protection Extension
     1. Open the 'Trend Micro ID Protection' Extension.
     2. Click the 'key icon' to access your Vault.
     3. Select 'Create your Vault' and follow the on-screen instructions.
        You'll be redirected to the Trend Micro ID Protection site to finish setup.

Your Vault is now set up on your new Windows device. You can now securely manage and track your passwords. Feel free to move passwords from other managers if needed.
