Having trouble accessing websites on your Windows PC with Trend Micro enabled? Here's what you can do to fix it.

Why can't I visit websites with Trend Micro on?

This issue may occur if Trend Micro is blocking unsafe or conflicting websites. Here’s how to resolve it:

  1. Update your Trend Micro software:
    • On Windows:
      1. Right-click the Trend Micro icon in the taskbar's notification area, then select Check for Program Updates.
      2. If the icon is hidden, click the Show hidden icons (^) arrow next to the notification area.
      3. A window will appear checking for updates. Once it's done, click Close.
    • On Mac:
      1. Open Trend Micro Antivirus, then Click Update Now.
      2. After the update completes, click Close.
    • On Android:
      1. Open the Play Store app.
      2. Tap your Google profile icon, then tap Manage apps & device.
      3. Find and tap on Mobile Security & Antivirus, then tap Update.
    • On iPhone/iPad:
      1. Open the App Store app, then search for Trend Micro Mobile Security.
      2. If you see an Update button, tap it. If you see Open, you're already updated.
  2. Clear your web browsing data:

    It's a good practice to clear your browser's cache and cookies regularly to ensure it functions optimally.

If these steps don't resolve your issue, consider temporarily disabling Trend Micro to verify if it's definitely causing the blockage, and then re-enable it.
