Keep your Trend Micro subscription active by ensuring your credit card or payment details, including the expiry date, are up-to-date. Follow these steps to update your information:

1. Log In to Your Trend Micro Account:
   Visit https://account.trendmicro.com/ and sign in with your email address and password.
2. Find Your Subscription:
   Under Licenses tab, look for your active subscription and click on the Manage Subscription button.
3. Go to Change Credit Card Details:
   Click Change Credit Card Details, then you will be redirected to a different page where you can update and change your billing information.
4. Update Your New Details:
   Change your payment method and all necessary billing information you need to update, then click the Update Billing Information button to finish.
   Once completed, you will see a confirmation message:
   "Successfully updated your account's billing information."
   NOTE: Please wait up to 48 hours for the new credit card details to be updated.

If you've made an online purchase and want to request a refund, follow these steps:

1. Go to the Trend Micro's Refund Request Page.
2. Choose Refund a recent ONLINE purchase under I need help with*.
3. Select the product you want to refund and state your reason.
4. Provide your details.
5. Click Submit Request.

Note: Kindly wait for the refund confirmation email that will be sent to your email address, and the refund will be processed within 5-7 business days.

If you purchased your subscription directly from a retail store, visit the store with your proof of purchase and request a refund.

For Windows Computers

To upgrade on a Windows PC or laptop, follow these steps:

1. Make sure your computer meets the minimum requirements.
2. Go to https://account.trendmicro.com/download.
3. Log in with your email and password.
4. In the Downloads section, click the Download button under your subscription.
5. Click the Download button under Download to This Device to start the download in a new tab.
6. Run the installer by double-clicking the downloaded file. If a User Account Control window appears, click Yes.
7. Click Yes to remove the old version of the program.
8. Click Restart Now to reboot your computer when prompted.
9. After restarting, wait a few minutes for the Trend Micro installer to appear.
10. Follow the on-screen steps to finish the installation.

For Mac Computers

Is Updating Free?

Yes, upgrading to the latest version is free as long as your subscription is still active.

If you need help activating your Trend Micro product, follow these steps to look for your activation code based on how you made your purchase.

Online Purchase

• Order Confirmation Email: Check your email for the order confirmation. Look in your spam folder if you can't find it.

Retail Store Purchase

• Inside the Box or on Your Receipt: Your activation code is usually in the box or on the receipt.

In-App Purchases

• Automatic Activation: No code is needed for purchases from app stores. Your subscription updates automatically.

On a Windows PC

• Open Trend Micro Security: After opening the app, click the Profile icon at the top right, then select About the Software, or click on the expiry date at the lower right. Your activation code will be displayed on the right.

On a Mac

• Open Trend Micro Antivirus: While open, go to the Menu bar, then select Trend Micro Antivirus > Subscription… Your activation code will be displayed on the right.

On Mobile Devices

• Open the Trend Micro App: On the app, tap the ⋮ icon, then tap Settings. Under Account & Subscription, find the activation code section.

To activate your Trend Micro product for the first time, follow these steps:

1. Visit the Activation Portal.
2. Click the Get Started button.
3. Create a Trend Micro Account using your email address or phone number.
4. Provide a secure password, then click Next.
5. Enter your first and last name to complete your profile, then click Next.
6. Enter your activation code, agree to the Trend Micro License Agreement, and click Next.

If you have a new activation key, here’s how to use it:

1. Go to the Activation Portal.
2. Click the Get Started button.
3. Below the Next button, click Sign In.
4. Sign in with your email address or phone number, then click Next.
5. Enter your password, then click Next.
6. Provide your new activation code, agree to the Trend Micro License Agreement, and click Next.
