If you’re trying to cancel Auto-Renewal, update your payment method, or add a device but the Manage Subscription button doesn’t respond, we’re sorry for the hassle. This usually means your account needs a quick check or we need to help you directly.

Why the Manage Subscription button may appear inactive

  • Auto-Renewal is already off. If there are no options to change, your subscription may already be set to not renew.
  • Payment or license data is still syncing. After a payment or change it can take up to 24–48 hours to appear in the account portal.
  • You’re signed in to a different account. If you have multiple emails, you may be signed into the wrong one.
  • Your purchase was made through a partner or retailer. Some retail or in-app purchases are managed by a partner (Best Buy, Apple, Google Play, etc.), so Manage Subscription won’t show options.
  • Temporary browser or session issue. The portal session may have expired or your browser is caching an old page.

Quick checks — do these first

  1. Sign out and sign back in to your Trend Micro Account using the email you used to purchase.
  2. Try a different browser or device (Chrome, Edge, Safari) or open a private/incognito window.
  3. Wait up to 48 hours after a recent payment or merge, then check again.
  4. Check for partner billing: if you bought through a store or in-app, check that partner’s subscription manager (Apple App Store, Google Play, Best Buy, etc.).

If your purchase was made through a partner (App Store, Google Play, retailer)

Some purchases are billed by the partner and must be managed through that partner’s subscription page. If you bought via App Store, Google Play, Best Buy, or another retailer, follow the partner’s refund/cancellation flow or contact their support team; we can help if you provide the partner invoice and proof of purchase.


If you want to cancel Auto-Renewal

If Manage Subscription shows no options, Auto-Renewal may already be off. To confirm, contact support , and we’ll confirm it for you.


If you want to update your credit card

If Manage Subscription sends you in a loop or shows an error

Try these steps, in order:

  1. Clear your browser cache and cookies, then sign in again.
  2. Open the Trend Micro account page in an incognito/private window or use a different browser/device.
  3. If you have multiple Trend Micro accounts, sign in to each email you may have used to purchase and check each subscription.
  4. If the issue persists, use one of the escalation options below — don’t keep retrying; our Support Team can resolve it directly.

If the steps above don’t resolve it, contact us and we will:

  • Verify your payment and subscription status
  • Cancel Auto-Renewal on your behalf if requested
  • Help merge subscriptions or update billing info
  • Escalate duplicate-charge or installation problems to the right team
