How to Install Trend Micro Security

This page provides the official and complete installation steps for all Trend Micro Security products across Windows, Mac, Android, and iOS. Follow the detailed instructions below to install and activate Trend Micro on your device.

Before You Begin

  • Have your activation code ready.
  • Remove any existing antivirus software.
  • Ensure your internet connection is stable.

Install Trend Micro on Windows

  1. Download the official installer based on your subscription:
  2. Open the downloaded file (TrendMicro_17.9_HE/MR/EL_64bit.exe).
  3. If prompted by Windows User Account Control, click Yes.
  4. Wait for the installer to check your system.
  5. Review the Licence Agreement, Privacy Notice, and Data Disclosure Notice and click Accept and Continue.
  6. Enter your activation code and click Next.
  7. Sign in to your Trend Micro Account when prompted.
  8. Follow the on-screen instructions until installation completes.
  9. Click Finish to launch your protection.

Install Trend Micro on Mac

  1. Download the official Mac installer: Download Trend Micro for Mac.
  2. Open the .DMG file and double-click Trend Micro Installer.
  3. Click Open if macOS asks for confirmation.
  4. Click Continue, review the License Agreement, then select Agree.
  5. Enter your activation code when prompted.
  6. Sign in to your Trend Micro Account.
  7. Follow the on-screen instructions until you see "Installation Successful" message.

Install Trend Micro on Android

  1. Open the Google Play Store.
  2. Search for Trend Micro Mobile Security.
  3. Tap Install.
  4. Open the app once installation finishes.
  5. On the main screen, tap Buy / Activate at the lower-right corner.
  6. Select Sign In to Use Existing License then enter your activation code when prompted.
  7. If you do not have a license or subscription, choose your preferred subscriptin plan and follow the purchase steps.

Install Trend Micro on iPhone and iPad

  1. Open the App Store.
  2. Search for Trend Micro Mobile Security.
  3. Tap Get to install the app.
  4. Open the app once installation finishes.
  5. On the main screen, tap Buy / Activate at the lower-right corner.
  6. Select Sign In to Use Existing License then sign in to your account when prompted.
