Know what to do if you are experiencing difficulties with your Trend Micro subscription renewal.

Why You Can't Renew

  • You may have used an expired or invalid payment method (like a credit/debit card, PayPal, etc.).
  • You may be experiencing internet connection issues.
  • Your Auto Renewal feature may still be active.
  • The Trend Micro product you are trying to renew has reached its end of support (EOS).

What To Do Next

  1. Follow the renewal instructions accurately.

If you are unsure of the steps, refer to the How do I renew my subscription? section of this article for detailed instructions.

  2. Provide correct and valid billing information.

If your payment method (credit/debit card, PayPal, etc.) has expired or is invalid, Trend Micro won't be able to process the renewal. You will need to update your payment information: How to Update Credit Card and Billing Info for Trend Micro Subscriptions.
NOTE: Do not enter special characters or invalid numbers in the form fields, as this may cause errors or stop the submission.

  3. Connect to a stable internet connection.

If there are problems with your internet connection, you may not be able to complete the renewal process. Ensure that your connection is stable and try again.

  4. Turn off the Auto Renewal feature

If you see a Cancel Subscription button in your Trend Micro Account, click it to stop the auto-renewal that uses your old card. You can reactivate it later with your new card. You will see the Renew Now button after.

  5. Purchase a new subscription.

If you cannot renew the Trend Micro product because it has reached its end of support, it is best to buy a new product that meets your needs. To purchase a new subscription, visit this link: How to Purchase a New Trend Micro Subscription: Step-by-Step Guide
