To activate your Trend Micro product for the first time, follow these steps:

1. Visit the Activation Portal.
2. Click the Get Started button.
3. Create a Trend Micro Account using your email address or phone number.
4. Provide a secure password, then click Next.
5. Enter your first and last name to complete your profile, then click Next.
6. Enter your activation code, agree to the Trend Micro License Agreement, and click Next.

If you have a new activation key, here’s how to use it:

1. Go to the Activation Portal.
2. Click the Get Started button.
3. Below the Next button, click Sign In.
4. Sign in with your email address or phone number, then click Next.
5. Enter your password, then click Next.
6. Provide your new activation code, agree to the Trend Micro License Agreement, and click Next.

Follow these simple steps to buy a Trend Micro subscription from the official online store:

1. Select your region from the list below and click on the link to visit your local Trend Micro Online Store:
   • North America: United States | Canada

2. Select the product you need and click Add to Cart or Buy Now.
3. Fill in the required fields on the Billing and Payment page and complete your purchase. You'll receive an Order Confirmation email, which serves as your proof of purchase.

We understand how important it is to keep your payment information up to date. Currently, there is NO direct page to update your credit card and billing information details, so our system requires a few extra steps to do so. While we work on making this process more straightforward, here’s how you can update your credit card:

To change your credit card details, renew your Trend Micro subscription in advance:

1. Log in to your Trend Micro Account in https://account.trendmicro.com/ with your email address and password.
2. Find your active subscription and select the Renew Now option. If you're subscribed to Auto-Renew, click the Cancel Subscription or Manage Subscription button to stop it temporarily.
3. Follow the on-screen instructions to update credit card and change your payment method.

Note: Renewing early won't make you lose any remaining subscription days. Your subscription will be extended by one or two years, based on your chosen renewal option.

If you don't want to renew early, Trend Micro will notify you when it's time to renew. Then, you can update your card details.

If you want to cancel the automatic renewal of your Trend Micro subscription, follow these steps below. By doing so, you can manage your subscription directly from your Trend Micro Account.

1. Visit your Trend Micro Account.
2. Sign in with your email and password. If you use Two-Factor Authentication, enter the verification code.
3. Click the Licenses tab and locate your Trend Micro subscription with Auto Renew.
4. If you see a Cancel Subscription button, click it, and then confirm by clicking Stop Now.



Note: Click Manage Subscription to cancel Auto-Renewal if you're in Australia or New Zealand.

5. If you see a "Renew Now" button instead, it means Auto Renew is already off, and manual renewal is required before expiration.

NOTE: If you are using a trial subscription, there is no need to cancel it from your account page. You can allow the trial days to expire or chat with us to terminate your trial subscription.

If you've made an online purchase and want to request a refund, follow these steps:

1. Go to the Trend Micro Refund Request Page.
2. Select Refund a Recent Purchase under "I need help with".
3. Choose how you bought your product (Online or Retail) under Sales Channel.
4. Pick the product you wish to return and explain why.
5. Fill in your contact details.
6. Click Agree and Continue.

Kindly wait for the refund confirmation email that will be sent to your email address, and expect your refund for online purchases within 5-7 business days, and for retail purchases, within 45 days.

1. Get Your Activation Code Ready. Before starting the renewal process, make sure you have your Trend Micro Activation Code at hand. This number is essential for verifying your subscription.
2. Provide Your Activation Code. Enter your Activation Code in the designated field below, then click Submit.

   If you already have a Trend Micro Account, click Sign In. If you don't have one yet, simply register your email or phone number, then follow the prompts to create an account.
   

3. Type your Activation Code.

   Provide your Trend Micro Activation Code, then click Next . Looking for your activation code? You can find it on your Order Confirmation Email or on the box or receipt it came in.
   

4. Download the Trend Micro Installer.

   Click the Download button if you want to install it on the computer you signed in. If you wish to install it on another computer, click Share.
   

5. Run the installer.

   Double-click the downloaded installer file to start. If you are not sure where to find it, it is likely in the Downloads folder.
   

6. Complete the setup.

   Follow the remaining prompts, then wait for the installation to complete. You may be prompted to enter some information; kindly provide them as needed.
